John D Wood opens new branch on Cadogan Street
John D Wood and Co. who have been part of the Chelsea community for over 50 years and have been trusted for generations, announce that they have opened a new branch at No. 59 Cadogan Street, Chelsea to expand their network.
'Chelsea has long been an area where people aspire to live. The eclectic range of property styles mean there really is something for all tastes.'
The Cadogan Street office occupies a corner position and complements the Cale Street, Kings Road and Gloucester Road branches in selling and letting property across Chelsea and Knightsbridge. Plans to increase operations in Chelsea were initiated by the desire to move into the Knightsbridge market and will provide additional space for the 20+ person strong team, in line with socially distanced working following Covid-19 protocols. Located further north than the Lower Sloane Street office and well positioned to reach a wider client base in the Royal Borough.
Chelsea has long been an area where people aspire to live. The eclectic range of property styles mean there really is something for all tastes. From the grand crescents and garden squares, to the merchant houses of old Chelsea; artist studios to purpose-built blocks of all eras, and arguably the most well-known genre of all, the pastel coloured houses and cottages which run off King’s Road.
Robert Green, Director at John D Wood & Co. comments:
“The market has seen its fair share of challenges in recent years; with 2020 being a difficult year for most, however, with these challenges many have had cause to pause, and re-evaluate the importance of the place that they call home. Living somewhere like Chelsea has become even more valuable to many, and we have seen a busy market as buyers and sellers have looked to ensure their home fits their needs. Recent activity has been with local people of all nationalities, as travel restrictions inhibit non-resident buyers – this is reassuring news, demonstrating the fundamentals of the Chelsea market are as solid as ever.”
Polly Ogden Duffy, Managing Director at John D Wood & Co. said,
“Chelsea lies at the heart of our business, and our new Cadogan Street office is an important link in expanding our network into Knightsbridge. We have a long history of selling property in Chelsea and continue to deliver for our long standing Clients, many of whom we have worked with time and time again over the years. We remain proud to say that no other agent has more offices in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.”
