Residential Market

Halifax has recently revealed that detached homes hit the hotspot for home-movers, accounting for 32% of sales in the UK over the past 12 months, followed by semi-detached (28%) and terraced (21%). Offering a mix of the top three house types available to buyers, Millwood Designer Homes is preparing to launch Rectory Meadows– a beautiful collection of new properties in Plumpton Green, East Sussex - on Saturday 9th September.

Set in the quaint Sussex village of Plumpton Green, just a stone’s throw from the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park, Rectory Meadows will comprise a luxury collection of just 20 two to five bedroom residences. Ranging from spacious two-bedroom villas to sweeping detached five bedroom family homes, there is a house type to suit every type of buyer, whether that be first-time homeowners, expanding families or downsizers.

Philip Brown, Sales and Marketing Director at Millwood Designer Homes, comments:

“With many house hunters looking for detached homes for extra peace, privacy and space, we are delighted to be unveiling a new collection of detached homes and villas at Rectory Meadows. Set on the site of a former rectory, this unique development enjoys a charming traditional English village setting, whilst still providing excellent transport connections and local amenities; the perfect home for modern-day living in the countryside”

Showcasing one of the exemplary new homes at Rectory Meadows, The Barnham is a stunning detached four bedroom property. Upon entrance to the home, a wide entrance hall leads into a large family/kitchen/breakfast room acting as the hub of the home, and providing a large space for all the family to come together. The kitchen comes complete with all the amenities needed for modern-day family life, including an induction hob, two single ovens, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and the added luxury of a wine cooler. A spacious utility room is a fantastic addition for busy families, providing space for laundry without cluttering the rest of the house. Perfect for zoned living, the ground floor also enjoys separate dining and living rooms, perfect for enjoying the evening meal together around the table, before cosying up on the sofa with a boxset in the living room.

Upstairs, the sleek master bedroom enjoys a full-length fitted wardrobe as well as an en suite with contemporary white sanitaryware. Fitted wardrobes are also a useful addition in the spacious second double bedroom, whilst bedrooms three and four are of equal proportion. A family bathroom completes the property.

Externally, The Barnham enjoys a large private garden with turf and a patio area, with a landscaped front garden and feature planting providing kerb appeal. Residents will also benefit from an electronically-operated garage and large driveway.

Although a quiet village setting, Plumpton Green is book-ended by a fantastic selection of traditional country pubs and a convenient village store, including The Plough Inn – a gastro pub with grounds across five-acres, a beer garden, heated terrace and children’s play area. Further afield, Burgess Hill is the closest large town, where residents have access to two large shopping centres, well-known high street stores and a cinema.

Sports enthusiasts are also well-placed in Plumpton Green, with the option to join the array of clubs and societies on offer including Plumpton Tennis Club, Plumpton EC Cricket Club, Plumpton Bowmen Archery Club and regular Tai Chi and Pilates classes all within walking distance from Rectory Meadows.

Families will be conveniently situated at Rectory Meadows to access a wide-range of exceptional education options.
