Cerulean Quarter Art in the Park Event Celebrates the best of the Local Community

Residents and visitors gathered at Cerulean Quarter in Canning Town on Saturday 25th April for Art in the Park, a community event organised by ECF, a partnership between Homes England, L&G and Muse, celebrating local creativity, independent businesses and public art.

Organised to celebrate local enterprise and creativity, the event was held in Green Haven Park and saw local street artists Reves One and Choots Art transform the skate park in front of a live crowd. The colourful design features an Octopus, a nod to skate boarding’s roots in empty Los Angeles swimming pools.

There was also an art competition to design and win a bespoke skateboard, which was judged by the local artists and vendors, with Emmanuel (11), Malachi (14) and Mahnoor (24) producing the winning artworks.

Providing refreshments throughout the day were the popular local establishments Zzetta soul fired pizza and Yapix Coffee and Wine House, whilst a local DJ from Arch1 provided music and entertainment for those enjoying the sunshine on one of the warmest days of the year.

Visitors also had the opportunity to tour the show apartments at Cerulean Quarter, with the development sales team on hand throughout the day.

Stephanie Smith, Head of Residential: “Art in the Park was a huge success and a fantastic opportunity to engage with the vibrant, local community in Canning Town. Our residents from Manor Road and Cerulean Quarter enjoyed the opportunity to meet their neighbours, enjoy the sun and food while celebrating the transformation of the skate park which has become a popular hub for locals.

Our intention for Cerulean Quarter was to have a positive impact on the local area, bringing the neighbourhood together and community events like Art in the Park are a great way to do that.”

Cerulean Quarter is part of the Manor Road neighbourhood, consisting of 804 homes delivered across three phases*. The first collection, ready to move in now, is Dockmaster House, a collection of 178 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as four penthouses, set within a striking 32 storey building.

Each apartment features large open-plan living spaces, with integrated appliances and large floor-to-ceiling windows with many offering breathtaking views across the city skyline.

Cerulean Quarter is being delivered by ECF, which brings together the combined expertise and ambition of Homes England, the UK Government’s national housing agency; investment manager, L&G; and regeneration specialists, Muse.

ECF works in long-term partnership with local authorities to unlock and sustain regeneration, enabling delivery at pace while creating places that continue to grow, evolve and deliver lasting value over time.

* **Please note Phase 1 forms part of the wider Manor Road Regeneration project and future phases 2 & 3 are subject to commercial viability. Phase 2 has planning permission for 290 homes, and Phase 3 has outline consent for 159 homes. For the latter, the future delivery of the phase is pending securing of a satisfactory planning permission from the Local Planning Authority.
