Remember, spring cleaning isn't just for your home—it's essential for your garden too. That’s why Nikki Vadera, a spokesperson from Jeyes, the original outdoor cleaner, has provided top tips on how to get your garden ready this Easter and flourishing ahead of the warmer months.

Nikki’s tips include:

1. “Prune and trim overgrown plants: As Spring really gets going, invest some time in pruning and trimming overgrown plants. Not only will this enhance the aesthetic appeal of your garden, but it will also promote healthy growth throughout the summer months.

2. Revitalize your outdoor spaces: An outdoor space sets the stage for memorable alfresco dining. With Jeyes Fluid Outdoor Cleaner, not only can you effortlessly remove dirt and grime that has built up over the winter months from paths, patio furniture, decking, greenhouses, driveways, plant pots, pet houses and more, but you can also ensure protection against harmful bacteria, eliminating 99.9% of germs from your garden areas. Another tip to jazz up your patio and decking areas, is to add some comfy outdoor seating, throw down a few colourful outdoor rugs, and maybe even string up some fairy lights for those warm summer nights.

3. Repair your garden tools: Ensure your gardening equipment remains suitable for use. It's typical for tired, busy gardeners to neglect cleaning them during the winter, often storing them in a damp shed. Unfortunately, dirty tools not only risk damage but can also harm plants by spreading rust or disease.

4. Keep play areas clean and safe for Easter fun: Make sure paths, patios, and spaces near outdoor play areas, especially those with wooden or patio surfaces, are squeaky clean. Give these areas a thorough scrubbing with Jeyes Patio & Decking Cleaner, with its 4-in-1 complete clean action fighting against algae, limescale, dirt, and stains. An ideal choice for sprucing up your garden in prep for Easter festivities.

5. Add splashes of colour:  Whilst spring bulbs are starting to bloom already, use this long bank holiday weekend to think ahead about adding colour to your garden for Summer.  Some of my favourites including begonias, ranunculus and gladioli. All are easy to grow, add a pop of vibrancy to the garden, and work just as well in pot plants if you don’t have a large bedding space.
