NEWLAND PARK WELCOMES ITS FIRST PERMANENT RESIDENTS IN 100 YEARS
Newland Park, a sprawling 200-acre private gated development delivered by Comer Homes, has welcomed its first permanent residents for the first time since the Grade II listed mansion at the centre of the grounds, was owned and occupied by Henry and Agnes Harben (founder of the United Suffragists) in the 1920s.
The first purchasers to set foot in their new home at Newland Park are Mr Brian and Linda Jones, who own a two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of Gott Place. Securing their property on the exclusive launch weekend the couple had known about the site for many years and were excited when the chance to live there finally became a reality.

Brian Jones said: “We live fairly locally and Newland Park is an iconic location with a rich history, so when we heard of the plans to build new homes on the grounds we were very interested to learn more. We monitored the progress through the press and online and saw details for the launch weekend, so decided to go along and see what was on offer. The rest is history.”
As the first residents, Brian and Linda have been able to enjoy the expansive landscaped grounds, which have been restored to retain the design and layout first established by eminent landscape designer Thomas Mawson in 1903, in relative solace as other purchasers move in to their new homes periodically. Residents enjoy full access to the grand private grounds that feature a mixture of wild planted gardens and landscaped parkland, as well as children’s play areas and modern sports facilities.
Linda Jones added: “We were attracted by the privacy and security afforded at Newland Park and have really enjoyed taking in the surroundings and spotting the various wildlife. There really is so much to see and admire the moment you step outside the front door.”
With prices at Newland Park starting from £649,000, Brian and Linda took the decision to downsize from their four-bedroom detached house to a spacious ground floor apartment complete with a spacious private terrace – one of the most popular styles currently available at Gott Place.

Expertly designed and curated by Comer Homes, the Jones’ stylish new home features a premium custom-built kitchen, with flawless marble effect quartz countertops and solid ash shaker units, with the latest Miele integrated appliances.
The bedroom suites include elegant sets of built-in and walk-in wardrobes with LED under-wall cabinet lighting, creating the perfect storage and dressing room solutions. The bathrooms feature polished porcelain tiles throughout, with a marvellous Renaissance Mirage bathtub and contemporary shower units.
Brian said: “The quality of the apartment is excellent and the layout is deceptively spacious making the transition from a large house seamless. We’ve been impressed by the level of attention to detail throughout and the well-sized terrace is perfect for us. Any snags were promptly fixed and the team helpful and thorough whenever we have needed them.”

Brian and Linda were drawn to the ease of living Newland Park offers through a combination of practical and more prestigious facilities, ranging from private underground parking to transportation aid via a courtesy shuttle bus, operating exclusively for residents by bringing individuals to local commuter stations and popular shopping destinations nearby.
Residents of Newland Park will also benefit from a spectacular David Lloyd health & wellness club. The world-class spa centre will include a swimming pool, tennis courts and Racquets Club, multi-sports pitches, Padel courts and tennis courts. There will also be a five-star spa, bar, restaurant and relaxation terraces.

The latest phase of new homes released at Newland Park comprise an exclusive collection of two and three-bedroom apartments at Gott Place, an impressive contemporary take on a heritage style building. Prices for the Gott apartments range from £649,000 for a two-bedroom/two-bathroom with two large private balconies to £2 million for a spectacular three-bedroom/three-bathroom duplex with three spacious balconies and a sizeable private roof garden.

Priced from £1.275 million, the first set of heritage style homes within the Pankhurst Collection each span 2,045 sq. ft. and are spread across two floors. Blending perfectly with their rural surroundings, the houses benefit from generous, planted front gardens and large rear gardens with stylish part-patio part-landscaped lawns, as well as private off-street car parking and ample visitor parking, with electrical charging facilities.
Dating back to 1770, Newland Park was a private country mansion, which at its height of prominence welcomed many prominent figures, including King George III, Emmeline Pankhurst and H. G. Wells.
The mansion house was transformed into a refuge for the members of the Suffragette movement in the 1920s before being purchased by North British and Mercantile Insurance. During the Second Word War the property was converted into a discreet office space later becoming a teacher training college and then a Buckinghamshire College of Higher Education campus.
Now for the first time in more than a Century the first private residents can call this impressive site in the heart of the Chilterns their home.
Linda said: “Newland Park has provided us with a modern home in a rustic location that is full of natural beauty all around. We couldn’t be happier.”
