Dovepark Properties Announce New Chairman to Oversee Important Year of Growth for Affordable Housing Provider
Dovepark Properties, the affordable housing arm of leading UK developer Comer Homes, has announced Jack O’Brien as its new Chairman replacing the outgoing Michael Mulcahy. Jack O’Brien is set to lead the company through a period of strategic importance with 1,500 new affordable homes in the pipeline across a collection of landmark developments, as well as the release of shared ownership and private rental homes.
Jack O’Brien brings a wealth of experience to the board at Dovepark Properties. He currently holds other senior positions in the industry, including Director of his own consultancy that specialises in construction, property and contract management, as well as the position of Development Director at Comer Homes.
Jack has close to three decades of experience in relation to historic buildings, development, block, estate and letting management, including affordable rent units.

The departing Chairman, Michael Mulcahy, oversaw the launch of Dovepark Properties in 2023, with his experience proving vital. A barrister by trade and graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Michael also had a long and successful political career, including positions as the Lord Mayor of Dublin, an elected member of the Dáil Éireann and Senator in the 20th Seanad.
Dovepark Properties currently manages and maintains over 150 units across the Group’s portfolio of residential developments throughout the UK. Currently in the planning stages are further units, which includes a collection of high-quality affordable homes within largescale developments in North London, Luton Southend and Aberdeen.
